Mentoring Ceremony

The 'teacher' and the 'taught' share a much cherished relationship. This beautiful aspect of the Guru- Shishya tradition is celebrated and upheld in Pawar Public School, Bhandup with the mentoring Ceremony wherein each teacher is allotted a group of students to mentor. This solemn event is attended by the Principal, Headmistresses, Coordinators, the teachers and the students of grade 10. There was a tranquil ambience when the Auditorium was lit up in the celestial shimmer of the diyas.

The event began with a prayer song by the students of the school choir. The Principal in her address urged the students to work hard and to realize their true potential with the help of their teachers. The ceremonial diya was lit by the Principal, followed by the Headmistresses, Coordinators, teachers and students. The sublime light of the diyas truly cast a meaningful glow to this auspicious occasion.

The mentors and their mentees conversed together, each outlining their hopes, aspirations and expectations from each other and in the case of the students, with themselves. In conclusion, the Mentoring Ceremony underlined the sacred bond existing between the teachers and students of grade 10.
